Stop Frame Animation

i can not find the inventor of the Stop motin but a pioneer would be Ray Harryhausen, his natinality is USA, Hollywood. The first stop motion animation technique can be credited to  Albert E. Smith and J. Stuart Blackton for The Humpty Dumpty Circus (1897).

My Storyboard

The timeline provides what will happen in the animation and which camera angles and shots were taken during the process. Some of the shots have been changed in the process to make the animation longer most of the angles are the same but might have been used more and the sound effect were added after the timeline was produced these include: gun shots, explosions, the sound of tumbleweed rolling along the screen, the sound of the theme tune and the final scene which is a victory cheer also a sound of a cricket in the awkward stare down scene.

These characters were inspired by woody the cowboy from Toy Story we have made a few changes to this character which isn't copy right.

Desert Background.This is to fit with the animation and we wanted to have a desert instead of any other background scenery.

The different facial expressions.The facial expressions are so it was more managble to change the faces instead of making loads more characters with different faces.

 

Production Schedule

My Animation Idea

We first started off we the idea of animals fighting which was a crocodile fighting with an turtle, turtle fighting with a cowboy then changed to zombie apocalypse fighting a single cowboy then we changed it to a cowboy fighting with an evil terminator which was an evil twin. For our final animation technique we have chosen stop frame animation as our desired animation. We chose this out of all the other animations because we thought it would have more of an effect on our animation than any other animation.

In todays lesson we re-capped on our animation but we re started our animation work because it would have been difficult to cut and add parts to the animation, the camera battery ran and and the memoray card had no space left also the arm of the cowboy ripped so we had to blue tac the arm back on this delayed our photo taking time but made it alot easier to move the arm. We mananged to nearly complete the animation we need the last few images and the animation will be complete and we also need to achieve our voice overs for the characters.
